More ice

Leif and I are visiting the glaciers in the Beagle Canal. It is very different here because the glaciers fall down the mountain slopes between green slopes and forests. Magnus has left Balaena to work a little on a friends charter yacht. He will then sail up to Punta Arenas with them and later fly home to NZ to finish his qualifications as an outdoor guide (a totally unnecessary formality because it would be hard to imagine a better companion, crew and shore guide - I feel certain he has a great future ahead of him). I uploaded a few photos to the blog but the connection was so slow that I had to give it up. So look again in a few weeks when I have had time with a better internet connection.

Leif y yo vamos a visitar los ventisqueros del Canal Beagle. Esta muy diferente aquí porqué los ventisqueros caen por las sierras entre faldas verdes y bosques - super linda. Magnus ha despedido de Balaena para trabajar por un velero chárter de amigos. Va a navegar con ellos hasta Punta Arenas y luego volver a NZ para terminar sus estudios. (Un formalidad innecesario porque ya esta una navegante, compañero, y guía sin igual - siento seguro que tenga un buen futuro.) He cargado unas fotos al Blog pero la conexión estaba tan lento que acabé. Miren otra vez en unas semanas cuando tenga tiempo con un buen conexión.
