Preparations

The weather is beautiful and we are in an extraordinary spot. There is a wall of ice 100m high on one side and a hill of snow 200m high on the other. The water is alive with seals. The sun is shining and it feels tropical. But out at sea a storm is brewing and we don't know when to leave. Perhaps it will pass tonight and we can set off for Cape Horn tomorrow.

Hace tiempo hermoso y estamos en un lugar extraordinario. Hay un precipicio de hielo de 100 metro por un lado y un monte de nieve por el otro. El mar esta lleno de focas. Hace sol y se siento tropical. Pero mar adentro estará un temporal y no sabemos cuando zarpar. Quizás pasará por la noche y mañana podemos salir con rumbo Cabo de Hornos.
